Here’s a nice informative post with tip and techniques on ‘holding a program in one’s head’ (very posh ;) ). Definitely worth a read.

That was an excellent read! Thanks for that. I feel better about the fact that I lock myself away for 10hr stints during which I get more done than a week’s worth.

Nice link, made me more aware that I am spending huge stints behind a CPU and now my back is starting to hurt? Old age or cr*p chair?

    Good luck with that!

  7. Makes a lot of sense. I also remember another article from Graham where he proves that irritating coders is the worst thing all other office creatures can do. Couldn’t find that article right now. One of the points was hacker needs nearly a hour to load the code into his head, then start working. Each time someone disturbs hacker he increase the time needed for hacker to dive back into code.

  8. Shame on me, this is the same article I was talking about :-)
