Now Flex 3.0 is officially released, I guess a lot or you like me will be waiting to get your hands on Flex 4.0. You can keep an eye on what’s going on with Flex 4.0 here.

Very interested by the path they are taking with Flex 4, they were talking about it a lot the other night without saying anything, if you know what I mean.
Out of interest, is there a good comunity site / forum / mailing list for flex developers that you use?
I guess you need more than just Flex to make Flex work??????????
@ Rob
No there isn’t any site i use in particular. You could try Flex coders, but I can’t stand it. I’d much prefer to see it turned into a forum, but I know it won’t be. I can’t ever find anything I need there.

@ Peter
I’m not quite sure what you mean, you can create Flex app using Adobes free Flex SDK, and all end users require to see you app is the Flash Player installed.
thoght that Flex belonged to the Macromedia Dreamweaver series or am I wrong? (have still the ol’ Flex 1.5..lol..
Sorry I’m still not quite clear on what you mean.
You can see Flex as an open source framework build on top of the Flash Player and AS 3.0.
Flex Builder is an IDE product that can be used to build AIR/Flex applications/ActionScript 3.0 projects.
I’d suggest downloading the trial and having a play.

Thanks Tink,
Perhaps there is a hole in the market there
I have been using the Adobe forums, but I normally end up answering my own questions….
I used to find http://www.actionscript.org quite useful. Just don’t seem to have the time nowadays.
Flex 4, codenamed Gumbo, is now beginning active development.

@Rob
I’d recommend joining the flexcoders mailing list at Yahoo, it’s very active and people from Adobe and the Flex team regularly get involved.
Cool thanks Dave!
