Efflex v0.02

Last night I uploaded a new SWC for Efflex that should hopefully address the major issues that were apparent.

Other Changes

The following affects have been added:

org.efflex.mx.viewStackEffects.CoverFlowPapervision3D
org.efflex.mx.viewStackEffects.Slide
org.efflex.mx.pairViewStackEffects.Slide

org.efflex.viewStackEffects.Scroll has been renamed to org.efflex.mx.viewStackEffects.List.

There is also a new explorer at http://www.efflex.org/EfflexExplorer.html

hey Tink, have you looked into the new Spark.3DEffects? wonder if you are planning on intergrated them for flex4?

  3. Tink says:

The Spark effects have the same problem as the MX effects in that they do not exit and restart elegantly.

Efflex v0.03 will have a couple of viewStackEffects using the new Spark Animate class and built for Flash 10 later this week including CoverFlow, Flip & Cube.

    Thanks for this.

    Hi Tink

For the ViewStackEffects you use an accompanying ToggleButtonBar with its DP set to the Viewstack. What I am wanting is to change the viewstack via a seperate component in a factory class IE outside of the MXML component . I tried this by just setting the viewstack “selectedIndex” property. This changes the veiewstack child but does not display the Efflex Effect.

    Any ideas

This should work fine. As you can see in the examples I have also hooked a ScrollBar up, and all it does is change the selectedIndex on the ViewStack.

Are you sure you have set the hideEffect & showEffect on the children?

Awesome components! but where can I get usage code examples or API documentation?
    Keep up the excellent work.

    Hi David

There are lots of examples at http://www.efflex.org, but there isn’t any documentation as yet as I’m having a problem producing it.

    Hi Tink,

Would love to see the examples of what you’ve done to date but the link provided to the Explorer is stale. Could you please provide the proper link? Thanks.

  10. Tink says:

Hi Rick, the link works fine here?

  11. icke says:

where can i get an example or an api?

i can only find a desert with dead links

  12. Tink says:

Apologies. I’ve recently been upgrading all my WorkPress accounts which has been breaking links. Are the examples fixed for you now?
